Some homeowners are looking to improve their home to prepare to sell. What every the reason is all home owner's are concerned with the same question?

 Will my home increase in value to recover the costs whether I am selling today or in years from now?  Today's  Real Estate markets analysis today states that the  average homeowner will get 80% plus return on the direct costs. Even though you might not recover the entire direct costs there are many indirect costs and reasons to update your home to make it more desirable to the potential buyer.  The Real Estate markets states  that there are more potential home buyers looking at older homes will be more interested in looking at homes that have been updated (kitchens as #1) making the home more desirable and will have higher showing activity from potential buyers.  This normally results in a buyer willing to pay the seller asking price, shorter time listed on the market, allowing the seller to move on to their next  indenture.  

 When a potential buyer views a home that needs improvements will typically want allowances and a discount in the asking price to enable them to make the updates theirselves.  If you are not willing to lower the price of your home or make the updates they are requesting this could cause the delay in selling your home,  longer time on the market,  lower selling price and the  loss of  potential buyers.
